Ride, train, ride, FUN. Ok, the web writer may have the ratio a bit off, there may be a more fun and there may be significantly more ‘social’ woven into the serious nature of the training and riding that many of us here at SVC put into cycling. We take cycling seriously, but also embrace the sense of community building and celebrate bringing together bike friends & family.
Below are some of our marque events. New events are always considered.
Annual Chili Cook Off Come and show off your culinary skills and share your secret family recipe! This is a great chance to mingle with other club members, share some laughs and complete to win some sweet Bikeworks Swag. Event is typically held in February and is open to all club members and guests.
Tour De France Ride Come celebrate the world’s biggest cycling event with our largest group ride of the year. This no drop road ride takes us through our local scenic area and encourages riders of all levels to come together and enjoy a leisurely paced ride.
Sausage Ride Linking together cycling, friendship, a fantastic ride and an outstanding meal. This annual ride has it all! A cleverly designed route in the shape of sausage links, with all levels coming together and creating chance meet ups along the route. Following the ride, stay and enjoy some sausage links on a homemade pretzel bun provided by @breadhitz.
Annual Holiday Party This is our end of the season bash! This event brings us all together to celebrate new and old friendships and enjoy a reflection on the past year. Enjoy a light meal and drinks with friends and family.
